Nelson De La Nuez has a love of art, comedy, philosophy and pop culture.  By combining all of them, his art is created.  He has utilized and experimented with everything available to bring his pieces to life. He uses acrylic and watercolor paints, along with a wide variety of special inks and pencils to show different textures and colors. "I love the look of combining black and white photos with color images and vividly hand painting them to achieve a true mixed media look. The memories he has from child and young
adulthood have become a driving force in his artwork.  Nelson was recently featured on VH1's Fabulous Life of series showing the "Latest in Billionaire Home Decor." You also may have seen an entire HGTV "Designer's Challenge" show where the master bedroom and bathroom were designed around his artwork. His work has been seen on several episodes of MTV's "Cribs" in celebrities' homes as well! Nelson is Cuban and lives in Southern California.
